Attachment Theory explores how we are impacted by the emotional bond we form in early childhood with our caregivers.
When growing up in an environment where our needs for safety and connection were met, we should develop Secure Attachment.
When care was inconsistent or negligent, we are likely to have formed Insecure Attachment – either Anxious, Avoidant or Disorganized.
