Basic Course Description
The internal split of black and white thinking is a core marker of insecure attachment and psychological immaturity. In this course, we do the experiential work to understand and then start to heal these internal splits.
This is a Practice oriented course
Doing the work (meditations in this case) is what brings about the results. The learning content of the course is intended to guide and encourage the meditation practice which will bring about the desired healing.
List of what this course covers
In this course, we will discuss splitting (idealization and devaluation) such to understand it. We'll talk about how it maps onto both dismissing-avoidant attachment and anxious-preoccupied attachment. Then, you'll be guided to identify the splitting that you yourself do and identify the traumatic/endangering experiences that you've had in the past that brought about the splitting (which was adaptive at the time, but is now no longer adaptive). Then we'll do a series of guided meditations to heal the splits.
